Managing Meetings

This post specifies some rules for meetings.

Whoever schedules the meeting is responsible for all preparation and followup.

Anyone is always welcome to decline, skip, or exit any meeting for any reason at any time.

Set your expectations of others very low. It is up to the remaining team members to determine how to handle any absence.

Send invitations as early as possible.

Give people a chance to plan.

Have a channel for alerting people before and at the time of the call.

Some people need reminders.

The goal of any meeting is to end the call.

Do not waste my time.

Every meeting should have an agenda.

Preferably with max time allocated per entry.

Every meeting can have outstanding questions.
